A lot of our behavior, or differences in our behavior, comes from our gut and our urlogic system. Don't believe me? Sepsis can make you altered, and a UTI can become sepsis pretty fast for the elderly person who doesn't remember to take their antibiotics. What about an autistic child who isn't getting the right nutrients and their gut health is off, wouldn't that upset the systemic balance as the body tries to balance itself out? In these activites we will review how these two systems function and how they can affect a patient's vitals, chief complaints and mental status.
